We were encouraged when we had the confirmation that the social interaction part is also important and feel that we can leverage our experience and expertise to help healthcare establishments address those issues.

Only1Generation can be a facilitator to these processes by enabling families who may be unable to visit their loved ones due to geographic or pandemic constraints to keep in touch with in-patients or long-term care residents.

How do we start?

Although our website talks about many features that our platform can offer, we believe there is an opportunity for establishments to get started in a very simple manner that would allow a person on the nursing staff or a volunteer to allocate a small window of their time to facilitate virtual or in-person visits that families schedule online ahead of time.

Another possible way of starting this journey could be by implementing the Social Platform with printable Gazette. This would require minimal resources and can be incorporated with the distribution of meals. It would enable family members to easily share their experiences, news and well wishes.
